Deploy TAC in vfabric-tc-server

Overview

Some customers configure Talend Administration Center in vfabric-tc-server. This article explains how to deploy Talend Administration Center in vfabric-tc-server, which provides enterprise users with a lightweight server, designed to be a drop-in replacement for Apache Tomcat. You can get a free trial version for 60 days from https://my.vmware.com/web/vmware/downloads.

 

Environment

Windows 2008, with the vfabric-tc-server-standard-2.9.4.RELEASE.zip file and Talend-AdministrationCenter-r95165-V5.2.1.

 

Resolution

  1. Unzip vfabric-tc-server-standard-2.9.4.RELEASE.zip in the directory of your choice.
  2. Open a commandline and enter the command to go to the selected directory, as shown in the screenshot:

  3. Create an instance. To do so, enter the following command: tcruntime-instance.bat create tac521 (tac521 is an example of the instance name).

  4. Modify the port or other parameters as needed, for example, the file path: your directory\tac521 \conf\catalina.properties.

  5. Put your Talend Administration Center in the \tac521\webapps folder.

  6. Install your Talend Administration Center. To do so, enter the following command: directory\tcruntime-ctl.bat tac521 install.

  7. Start your Talend Administration Center. To do so, enter the following command: directory\tcruntime-ctl.bat tac521 start.

  8. Open your Web Browser and type this into the address bar: http:/ /localhost:7070/tac521/org.talend.administrator.
