Re: using virtual box vm getting message: Unable to Allocate and lock memory

Hello @bconard1_,

Please, can you provide more information on the error you got.

Is it during the import of the OVA file?

Is it inside the Sandbox?

Can you provide a screenshot? It will help us determine the problem.

Thank you,

Thibaut

It's after the ova is installed and starting talend studio and after selecting the environment desired (I selected hortonworks)

Thanks for your reply.

However, I would need more information in order to help you. I am guessing you don't have enough memory (RAM) on your laptop. You need to have at least 8GB free memory and 20GB disk space to run the sandbox properly.

Can you give us your laptop specifics (memory, cpu etc)?

Also, is the popup coming from Ubuntu ? From the Studio ? From VirtualBox/VMWare?

Thanks

Thibaut

PS: A screenshot would help, you can upload an image when you post a message on the forum.
