VMPlayer and Hyper-V are not compatible. Remove the Hyper-V role from the system before running VMPlayer

Hi Everyone,

I am facing the below issue while installing Talend_6.3-Big Data_Sand_box_1.7vmware.

I have tried a few activities to solve the issue after browsing blogs over google but still not able to run the VM.

I have already used different commands in cmd like
"
bcdedit /set hypervisorlaunchtype off
A reboot of of the Windows OS is necessary.
To enable the Hyper-V role again use the following command:
bcdedit /set hypervisorlaunchtype auto
A reboot of of the Windows OS is necessary. "

Hello
I search this error on internet and realize that you have to disable Hyper-V role. Which OS are you using? Have you tried to turn off it via UI:
-Search for and open the "Turn Windows features on or off" window.
-Toggle the checkbox next to "Hyper-V".
-Restart.

Re: VMPlayer and Hyper-V are not compatible. Remove the Hyper-V role from the system before running VMPlayer

Hi, I managed to convert the virtualbox image to a Hyper-V format using a couple of tools..

I also tried https://blogs.technet.microsoft.com/stevemoore/2017/06/08/convert-vmdk-to-vhd-fails-with-the-entry-2...

however that didn't seem to help

Now have image up and running in HyperV  (I need HyperV because I also use Docker for Windows on Win10 )

Hope that helps!
