HiveServer2 - concurrent.ExecutionException

Hi everyone,

Anyone using Sandbox right now? I'm  not able to connect to Hive & MySQL on Sandbox. Tried to install it on different machine... same issue. Following is the error I'm getting

Connection failure, check the database settings or contact your database administrator.
java.util.concurrent.ExecutionException: java.sql.SQLException: Could not open client transport with JDBC Uri: jdbc:hive2://talend-cdh580.weave.local:10000/default: java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused (Connection refused)

Can you please help me with this. Following are Hive connection properties (please see attached file)

Re: HiveServer2 - concurrent.ExecutionException

Got it - I had to download new MySQL 5.7 from the docker. Please see below for details

Open following file in Gedit -
/opt/talend/Docker/Cloudera-compose.yml

mysql:
dns: 172.17.0.1
dns_search: weave.local.
environment:
- MYSQL_DATABASE=sandbox
- MYSQL_USER=sandbox
- MYSQL_PASSWORD=sandbox
- MYSQL_ROOT_PASSWORD=first1
hostname: mysql.weave.local
image: mysql:5.7
networks:
- weave

The only modification is the tag "5.7" instead of "latest"

Execute following commands on terminal -

sudo docker-compose -f ~/.dkr/compose/cluster1/docker-compose.yml rm -f mysql

sudo docker-compose -f ~/.dkr/compose/cluster1/docker-compose.yml down

docker pull mysql:5.7

Reboot VM
