Do you mean VMware player starts, but the Sandbox image doesn't start? Can you attach a screen shot?
Is it possible that the downloaded file is truncated? What size is it?
Sandbox is up and running. However when I start the Talend Studio, its asking me for a licence? Where would that be? I first downloaded the sandbox on 13th June 2017 so the trial period hasnt ended yet. Any idea
Hi, please let me know which sandbox file you selected. The trial license should be imported during initial sandbox build process. If this didn't happen, please re-import the VM and go through the build process again. The sandbox build process requires a good internet connection as it pulls multiple docker containers from dockerhub that are necessary for the successful build and execution of the sandbox. If you are behind a corporate firewall, the firewall could be blocking the container downloads. Try building the sandbox outside of the firewall. The license only becomes active once it is successfully imported to the sandbox, so you will get your full 30-day trial.
All usernames and passwords in the sandbox are talend/talend. If you are trying to run something as root from the terminal, use sudo in front of the command. The sandbox is built on Ubuntu 16.02.
I had downloaded the VMWAre-Mapr Sandbox ,The cookbook says unzip the downloaded file,But whatever i donwload it is not a zipped file instead it is a .exe file.so when i add in the VM machine,it is nt a supported file.can u pls sugeest me what am i doing wrong?
When you register for a sandbox (i.e. the MapR Sandbox). You will get a very small exe file as you did... This is a Download Manager File. Run it as you would a normal application (double-click to start it). This will open a small program that will ask you to pick a place to store the sandbox file and will then proceed to download the much larger sandbox file (in the case of the MapR Sandbox, it is a .zip file).
Please let me know if you have any further problems.
"Unable to load Metafile" usually indicates a Proxy or Firewall is preventing the Download Manager from accessing the server hosting the physical sandbox download file (the .ova file). This is not uncommon when connected to a corporate network - which tend to have much higher network security.
Please try to download when connected to a different network (i.e. your home network). Also, the sandbox build process also needs internet access to pull containers from Dockerhub. It would be recommended to also start/build the sandbox when not connected behind a Proxy or Firewall.
I have donwload the sendbox bigdata, but I don't receive the license file, can you tell me how to do ?
Thanks in advance
Is there a possibility to open cloudera manager of Sandbox ?
