Cannot create a connection to Hbase

Hi,

I created the connection to that Hadoop distribution from the Hadoop cluster node successfully and i want to create a connection to HBase but i got this error :

m1.PNGm2.PNG

Even when i check Set Zookeeper znode parent i got an error because i don't know the correct path to the znode node.

Could someone please help me ?

Thanks in advance.

Re: Cannot create a connection to Hbase

Hello!  It looks like you're running on a Hortonworks sandbox -- I don't have one immediately available, but the normal value for zookeeper.znode.parent for unkerberized Hortonworks is  /hbase-unsecure

You can find the exact value in the HBase configuration accessible through Ambari.  Make sure that HBase is launched in the sandbox!

If all else fails, you can find the exact value to enter in hbase-site.xml in the configuration file on disk (somewhere in the /etc/ hierarchy).

I hope this helps, Ryan

Re: Cannot create a connection to Hbase

Hello,

Check with this java.lang.object

org.apache.hadoop.hbase.client.ConnectionFactory

See also HBase Connection here https://hbase.apache.org/apidocs/org/apache/hadoop/hbase/client/Connection.html

Hope it helps you.

Thanks.
