Talend Studio dies when starting under Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.1 (gtk bug)

Symptoms

Studio opens fine at first, but does not open again once exited.

Solution

To fix this issue:

  1. Open the /usr/share/themes/oxygen-gtk/gtk-2.0/gtkrc file.
  2. Change this line:

    GtkComboBox::appears-as-list = 1

    to:

    GtkComboBox::appears-as-list = 0
