You can download a git client here:

https://git-scm.com/downloads

Just download and install.

For Windows, a regular command line client will be installed (i.e. you should just be able to run 'git' at the command line), or you can search for and use either 'Git Bash' or 'Git CMD'. The 'Git GUI' is an interesting tool if you'd like a visual view of your git repo, but it cannot be used to set the 'http.sslVerify' flag.

git-bash_git-cmd_git-gui.png

To list your current global settings:

git config --list

To turn a setting like http.sslVerify back on (to 'true'), just run the command from the main article up top again with the desired argument:

git config --global http.sslVerify true
