TAC incorrectly logs "TASK ENDED SUCCESSFULLY" when the Task really failed

Talend Version (Required)       All versions

Summary

Task ended with an error, but TAC's technical log file shows Task ENDED successfully.
Additional Versions
Product (Required) Data Integration
Component (Required) Talend Administration Center
Problem Description

When the Job associated with a Task fails execution:

  • TAC's Job Conductor page shows the task in the correct state (ended with error)
  • Task's execution log file shows the correct state (### Job ENDED WITH ERROR)
  • TAC's Technical log file shows an incorrect state (###### Task ENDED successfully)
Problem root cause
Solution or Workaround Task ENDED successfully means that TAC successfully launched the Task, the associated Job ran, and TAC got the Job's status at the end, regardless of whether the Job ended with an error or not.
