Setup SVN: "is not a valid url"

Hi,

i have installed a new Talend Data Fabric in Version 7.1.1 (on a Debian-System).

My problem is that i'm not able to connect it to my SVN (installed on the same server as Talend).

The SVN is reachable with the url: http://{ip}/svn/talend/. This url works in browser and also per wget.

When i enter this in the configuration of Talend Admin Center it always shows "http://{ip}/svn/talend/ is not a valid url". No matter what i enter it's always "not a valid url".

It doesn't work with "svn://{ip}/svn/talend/" either.

Even if a enter "https://www.talend.com/" it still says "https://www.talend.com/ is not a valid url".

Does anyone knows what the problem could be here?

Thank you und best regards,

Sven

Re: Setup SVN: "is not a valid url"

Hi again,

i solved the problem now by reinstalling SVN.

Maybe there was an error or something changed between Talend 6.5 and 7.

Either way, it works now.

Thank you for your help.

Hello,

Could you try to use http protocol and set port for SVN server to see if it works, please?

Best regards

Sabrina

Re: Setup SVN: "is not a valid url"

Hi,

i tried it with "http://{ip}:80/svn/talend/" but this results in the same error message.

Or what did you mean by set port for SVN?

Best regards and thank you,

Sven

Re: Setup SVN: "is not a valid url"

Hello,

The svn url with default port, like http(80), https(443) in TAC. Are you able to start the Talend Studio when the SVN Server is running on http? What's SVN version are you using?

Best regards

Re: Setup SVN: "is not a valid url"

Yes, i tried the url including the port 80 on which the SVN is running. Same error message in Talend. (Still working fine per browser or wget)

SVN version: version 1.9.5

I haven't installed the Talend Studio on this Server. There's just the Talend Admin Parts + Subversion.

I can start the Talend Studio from my local computer and it runs fine with for example a git-project.

I had the same setup before with Talend 6.5.1 where it was working fine.

Hello @Sven1991 ,

With your subscription solution, could you please create a case on talend support portal so that we could give you a remote assistance(webex session) through support cycle with priority?
