Re: Exception launching the Eclipse Platform

Hello Livio,
To run Talend Open Studio, you need to install first a JVM (Java Virtual Machine) version 1.5 or higher.
To make sure your JVM is properly installed, launch the command line.
On Windows, click on Start, then click Run and in the dialog box, type in cmd.
On the command prompt window, type in: java ?version.
This command will provide you with the JVM version installed on your station.

Michaël

Re: Exception launching the Eclipse Platform

It's quite strange.
Do you have multiple JVMs installed on your computer ?

Re: Exception launching the Eclipse Platform

Michael,
this is the "CLASSPATH" variable setting on the machine:
<.;C:\Programmi\Java\jre1.5.0_06\lib\ext\QTJava.zip;C:\PROGRA~1\IBM\SQLLIB\java\db2java.zip;C:\PROGRA~1\IBM\SQLLIB\java\db2jcc.jar;C:\PROGRA~1\IBM\SQLLIB\java\sqlj.zip;C:\PROGRA~1\IBM\SQLLIB\java\db2jcc_license_cisuz.jar;C:\PROGRA~1\IBM\SQLLIB\java\db2jcc_license_cu.jar;C:\PROGRA~1\IBM\SQLLIB\bin;C:\PROGRA~1\IBM\SQLLIB\java\common.jar>
and the OS is Windows2000 SP4

Re: Exception launching the Eclipse Platform

Hi Michael,
the solution to my problem was very simple.
It was necessary to unzip the TOS-Win32-20061004-1934-V1.zip file maintainig the originary folders ....
That's all !
Sorry for my mistake.
