Working in the Integration Services team, you will be primarily responsible for the creation and support of data feeds and integrations between systems of record and University IT applications. Integration Services operate a mature ETL platform and Data Warehouse. You will be involved in the design, test and implementation of a variety of diverse enterprise-level data integrations and ensure that they fulfil business needs.
The post includes a significant amount of customer engagement and brokerage in a systems integration context. Forming effective collaborative relationships across the University IT teams, software vendors and customers will be essential. Excellent enterprise-level database, data warehouse and data manipulation skills are required.
The role would suit those with experience of one or more of: ETL tools and approaches (e.g. Talend), SQL (predominantly MySQL), Database design / administration, web services, familiarity with Linux and Java applications. You will be required to develop a good understanding of the University’s complex data architecture and contribute to the development of clear technical documentation.
