Hi I have a developer account in salesforce.com. Iam not able to connect to salesforce using Talend DI tool( in metadata >salesforce>create salesforce connection). How can i connect Talend with Salesforce. Please solve it.
Hi I have read the document. I have a developer account in salesforce. When we provide this url"https://www.salesforce.com/services/Soap/u/19.0". with username and password with security token also .It shows connection failure. I have tried several times with different parameters, even with proxy settings, but i am not able to connect with salesforce using talend DI. With the same credentials, I am able to use Apex Data loader Of SalesForce.com. Please elaborate to connect to salesforce with Talend DI.Also, mention If I have to do any other settings in Salesforce. Thanks, amit
I hope you are passing username and password properly. When you are connecting to salesforce via Talend or any 3rd party tools you need to also pass the security token along with your password. Lets say your details is like user: email@example.com password: <your password> Security token : XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX Then in that case you need to pass user as firstname.lastname@example.org and password as <your password>XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX If you don't have Security token with you, you can generate one. Follow the process below To reset your security token, click Your Name | Setup | My Personal Information | Reset Security Token, and click the Reset My Security Token button. The new security token is sent via email to the email address on your Salesforce user record. I hope this helps. Regards, Nitin Sahu Helical IT Solutions Pvt Ltd. | http://www.helicaltech.com
I am on 5.2.2, getting issues with salesforce components using proxy ... I am able to use it from home but when i try to run same job from inside my company network i am getting timed out. I have the http proxy details and i am able to connect and see table, columns, using proxy details in my salesforce connection but i am facing Issues when i use saleforce Input component to retrieve data. I am getting timeout error when i open data viewer too. I had a look on tSalesforceInput components's property and i don't see the option to enable http proxy, all i see is Socks proxy. I had a network guy run a trace and he told me that my connection is not using proxy and trying to connect directly to salesforce and getting timedout. I have enabled http proxy from the salaesforce connection, do i need to change any other settings too ? i tried to drag and drop salesforce connection component and did enable the use existing connection in salesforce input component that didn't work either(got null connection error). let me know if anyone faced similar issue or have a clue on how to fix it ?
Same exact issue as ratneshsing in version 6.1.1, can pull schemas no problem, but will not work at all when trying to retrieve data through the same http proxy that the schemas are working just fine through. Three years later, and still an unresolved issue?
