Schedule Jobs - what are the alternatives for scheduling jobs?

Hi folks,
i have seem a fair amount of post on this forum around this topic of scheduling.
SpagoBI integration with Talend is an interesting option but i have not found documentation on how to schedule job using SpagoBI.
thus far i have used CRON on linux and Windows native scheduler to setup jobs.
But surely there must be other options. i have red about Quartz but not used yet.
i would much appreciate your views on this subject.
thanks,

Quartz (the J2SE solution) is the feature used by Talend in our Integration Suite product so i would say that is a reliable option if you want to schedule your job. You have a lot of other solutions. Pricey ones like $Universe and Control-M, open-sources ones like Quartz Scheduler (which I think implement the java quartz functionality) and the best one for your Talend projects : Talend Integration Suite Smiley Happy

Re: Schedule Jobs - what are the alternatives for scheduling jobs?

i agree that TIS would be the ideal.
but i am trying to prove a point by using Talend instead of SSIS at a client site.
thus, i have to find a solution until they take a decision on whether to buy it or not.
i will have a look at JobScheduler.
BUT i find odd not to be able to find information on how to use SpagoBI since it has auto-deployment from Talend Studio.
any helpful links that you can share??
thanks,
