Running a Talend Job as a service On Linux Tomcat

HI All
We have been creating talend jobs, building as war files and deploying to Tomcat 7 on windows servers.
This has worked extremely well.
We are looking to move these services to Tomcat 7 on a Linux server.
However if we try to deploy the war files on the Linux server they do not deploy.
At present the log files do not indicate why... just that it could not be deployed.
I am asking for better logging and access to other log files....
But in the mean time I thought I would ask and see if anyone else has seen this before.
If you have I would be extremely grateful for your help.

Cheers

Hi Phil,

Is your  Tomcat 7 on a Linux server running successfully? What's your job? Did you use any input file(located on windows servers ) in it?
Best regards

Re: Running a Talend Job as a service On Linux Tomcat

Hi.
Thanks for the reply.
Tomcat is running fine on Linux.
It's just that we cannot seem to deploy war files created in Talend on it.
The jobs have contexts exposed in them to which we will pass parameters.
There is no dependency within the jobs on files.
We can't run the services to as they do not deploy correctly.
We see them in the tomcat manager app but they are but started and cannot be started.

Re: Running a Talend Job as a service On Linux Tomcat

Hi,

Have you tried to build job as a standalone job (.sh file)to see if it works on your Linux?

Have you checked the section "how to deploy a Job as a Web service with context variables" in  KB article:TalendHelpCenterSmiley Very Happyeploying or exposing a Job as a Web service?
Could you please also indicate the build version you are using?(Open Studio or Enterprise Subscription Solution?

Best regards
