In Mapper; at run time, the map is fine finding and loading the context variables to the tHMap; and providing access to them via GetMapProperty.
However, when in design mode, within the map itself; using the 'Test Run' feature on elements of the output, the GetMapProperty context variable values do not show.
I'm guessing this is because at design time, the context data hasn't been loaded for the map to reference.
This is probably similar to loading the code.routines jar file as a data base item; to get java routine references to execute those functions at design time.
Does anyone know how to load up the context file at design time to the map; so that the 'Test Run' feature will pull them in and show the values?
I opened a case a few months ago to be able to enter context variables in mapper perspective so that we can test a map.
They opened a JIRA "Mapper Perspective needs access to set Context Variables so they are Testable within the Mapper Perspective" for it.
Reference is https://jira.talendforge.org/browse/TDM-4750.
I don't know what is the status as it is now private.
