thanks to reply , what device i need to clear off? u mean server ? i am runnning just to try delimited output in same server and file does created Also , when i run 50k records in excel it does create file in excel but when i run full program in to create excel files in server it gets stop in 540k record i am not getting solution to this problem please help Thanks Shivi
yes sabrina it does have space that is why delimited file with 650K+ record file is created when i add that component but when i use tfileexceloutput component it does not create file in the server but gives error. as you can see screen shot delimited file is created , let me show u server space
that .csv file is created , so that means space is there in the server but i wanted .xlsx file should get created. Also my local machine where talend application resides it has also space
and jvm arguments screen shot i have already shared . Now where i am lagging please help Sabrina Thanks Shivi
A delimited file is just a txt file. An XLSX file is MUCH bigger than a txt file. Saying that you can produce 650k records in a txt file means nothing. How much space do you have available on the drive? How much space does a 650k record XLSX file take up on your local machine?
Hi rhall_2.0, i am running my job under QA server remotely from studio , server has 60gb space but still i get error i am unsure why this is happening though files does not take 60 gb full space it takes some 100mb you can say.
when i run job in server with selecting just 50k records it does create file but when i run full program to generate file it does not create file and give error as attached screen shot. u can see below the full error which i am getting.
Does the user that is running the jobserver service have permissions to write to the location that you are trying to write to? This is a common issue and often overlooked. Your user running the services should be configured to have full access to the locations that Talend is writing to/reading from.
this is location , the admin are telling me there is enough space and to this loaction i can delete or create file. One day i tried to create file it got created fully another day i tried it does not , i am not understanding real reason behind this. just wondering what is going wrong in this? can u suggest something on this pls
It is clearly a linux system from the folder structure. What user is running the remote jobserver service? You logging in and creating files/deleting files just shows that your user is permitted to do this. YOu need to know what user is running the service. You also need to know whether this user has permissions to write into the folder. Also, is a relative or absolute path specified by the job? Does this path exist on the server? I'm afraid it is really difficult to tell you the answer without having full access to the environment. I can only suggest things to test
hey hi i am user who is running job in QA that is server location which i have pointed my file locations not sure these are really erratic error which are really scary to me i do have access to that location and i can read and write also there are folder in that folder structure as source ,target , the one i shared with you is target and this one i am using in talend and den calling job from studio remotely as u can see in screen shots Thanks Shivi
I am not sure we are understanding each other. When I asked about the user I meant the user that Talend Remote Jobserver service is being run by. The service will be in /etc/init.d (I assume) and that is what is running the job NOT your Studio which is just triggering the job to run.
