I have rest API created in Eclipse. That web service I run using Tomcat server. So as long as my Tomcat server is running I'm able to consume my Rest API.
In Tomcat we need to just place our war file(Web dynamic project which includes web.xml file) into Tomcat container, and it automatically takes care of everything when it runs, even the setting required in server.xml file.
Is that possible I could create Rest API in talend like I did in eclipse and deploy as a service in ESB like I deploy in Tomcat container ?
Any suggestions please..!!
How can we do the same thing in Talend ESB ?
Yes. In Talend the default runtime for services is Apache Karaf. You simply build your REST service (with as few as 3 components), build your service to a kar file in the Studio and drop it into the Apache Karaf deploy folder. That is all it takes.
Obviously that is the very simplest of services and there are other ways to deploy a service, but it really is just as easy as (if not easier than) the method you described.
