CI Builder use

Hello

I am using the Talend CI start up guide but have a question about the section at https://help.talend.com/reader/ElruncSKqadnY2jVuXhG8g/gAKlDFhCPB_N9sEOVhClfw?section=t-creating_pom_...

I have also read a variety of posts on CI but am still unsure what the differences and implications are between local-generate and generate goals?

Why is local recommended over non-local?

https://community.talend.com/t5/Architecture-Best-Practices-and/Continuous-Integration-with-Talend-C... and https://www.teschglobal.com/resources-all/talend-devops-continuous-integration both use non-local

Cheers
