Breakpoints for debugging and using the debugger

Are breakpoints before of after component execution?
How do you know you are at a breakpoint?
How can you see the values of context variables?
Any good documentation on using the debugger - I only see a single short paragraph in the doc.
Thanks,.

Re: Breakpoints for debugging and using the debugger

Hello
Press CTRL+SHIFT+R and then search the job file: yourJobName.java, open the file and set the breakpoint, run it as debug.
How can you see the values of context variables?

Print the value on tJava or tJavaRow, eg:
System.out.println(context.filename);
Best regards

Re: Breakpoints for debugging and using the debugger

I am looking for interactive debugging - seeing watch variables, etc.
Is there a doc on how to navigate and use the debugger?

Re: Breakpoints for debugging and using the debugger

David,
The features that you mention is the TRACES mode when you execute (Run) a Job; check the option in the Run tab (Traces).
Thanks
