Are there any instructions for setting up development environment?

Hi there
I ve got two problems, when I am setting up my eclipse development environment.
problem 1. When I checkout the source code from http://talendforge.org/svn/top/trunk/ using a svn client, it requires user name and password. it is ok to visit source code on a browser.

problem 2. I download zipped version from http://www.talendforge.org/trac/top/browser/trunk, however, lots of bundles are missing (such as org.talend.model; org.talend.utils;org.talend.coreSmiley Wink. I am not sure I should manually fix them one by one, or there is a updated instruction I should use.
A question: Do I have to use JRE6, is JRE7 compatible with the codebase?
Any suggestions/tips for setting up a dev environment would be much appropriate ?

Thank you
Yukun

Re: Are there any instructions for setting up development environment?

I have done this by the help of an youtube video (sorry I do not have the url anymore).
The key to succeed is using Yoxos. This is a preconfigured Eclipse configuration tool and this is in a way configured every plugins has all of the necessary dependencies.

There are some materials and educational resources that could be shared about how to build the software from the source code.
First, There is a Yoxos profile you can download athttps://yoxos.eclipsesource.com/userdata/profile/e24e8d3741426860a79f62d4553b8181
You will find below 3 screencasts (duration of 40 minutes) available on Youtube Talend Channel to help you to use the Yoxos profile in order to build our source code and understand the Metadata API :
