[resolved] Remove string character from string

I know how to do this in SQL but not in a Tmap expression.
I need to take a string and remove one character at the end.  I have tried this:
Talendstring.Talendtrim(mysource.myfield,'R'-1)
Problem is that it's not always an 'R' at the end.  It could be another character or number (any char or num) that I can't necessarily specify in the expression.
How do I get it to look for multiple characters other than 'R' and just trim off the last right character?

Try this -> StringHandling.LEFT(mysource.myfield,(StringHandling.LEN(mysource.myfield)-1))
