how to really rename component

Hi. I have to rename my components , not only on the view, but also in the code. I know that I can rename the component Label in the component's view tab.

i.e: In a state log , I want to see the component label rather than the real component name.

Is it possible, for example, to rename

-tComponent_1 ==>Mycomponent
-tComponent_2 ==> MyOtherComponent

?
Cheers,

Re: how to really rename component

Hi Vinc

You have to edit source file of this component.
But you still can't change them like "Mycomponent" and "MyOtherComponent".
They will be like "Mycomponent_1" and "Mycomponent_2", because names are generated automatically.
I don't know why you want to change it...

Re: how to really rename component

Has there been any new development about "renaming components" since 2012?
- The documentation gets printed out using the default names
- When inserting java code, you can type, even select, the name you have given but then it gets automatically changed back to the default name...

It gets very confusing and my workaround for now is "not to rename anything" since it appears to be a waste of time

Any better idea?
Thanks
