Problem with Metadata : delimited file

Hello,

I don't know if it's a bug or if it's me who have wrong so I post my message here.

I add a metadata, a delimited file one.
It's a csv file, separated with comma and enclose by double quote (").

So at the third step, I put all thoses informations, I click on on Refresh preview and everything appears ok without the enclosing " and separated thanks to the comma.

Then, I put this metadata as input in my schema, I put a mysql output and a tmap between.

Everything is ok, no problem.

But, when I launch my job, at the first integer field, I've got a problem like : java.lang.NumberFormatException: For input string: ""691249329""

It seems that it don't have put off the enclosing " ....

It's very strange, if anyone could help me, it will be awesome!

Thanks!

Re: Problem with Metadata : delimited file

Hello,

Thanks for your answer.
I did what you show.
I think it's a bug.

I thought a solution : I drag a tFileInputCsv and I put : property type = repository and I choose the metadata delimited file.
It's a little bit sadly because I don't use the entire possibility of metadata but it works....

If someone would test the problem, it will be very great.

Have a nice day,

Re: Problem with Metadata : delimited file

I'm trying to follow this thread, and I can't find a tFileInputCsv anywhere - not in the designer or the documentation. Do I have an older or newer version than is referenced here?

Cheers!

Re: Problem with Metadata : delimited file

Hello
From stable version TOS2.3.0, the CSV specific parameters have been added to the tFileInputDelimited properties. Use a tFileInputDelimited with the relevant properties as substitution for the tFileInputCSV.
This is applicable for CSV Output component also.
