MS Access under linux

.
Anyone working with Access .mdb files on a linux platform?

Am getting "Connection failure" errors when trying to connect to .mdb files.
Is additional software and/or drivers required?

Using Talend Open Studio 2.3.2, on a Ubuntu 7.10 platform, and the Access files are 2003.

Many thanks.

Re: MS Access under linux

For me you can't use the components tAccessXXX actually to connect Talend on database Access in linux. Indeed, the tAccess components use an ODBC connexion and ODBC is just windows. However if you find a solution I listen to you Smiley Happy

Re: MS Access under linux

ODBC is not "just for windows". I have it installed on my Linux box, thanks to unixodbc.

Re: MS Access under linux

Hi,

I've installed unixodbc and I make a db connection to my MS Access. I have checked the connection in TOS but I can neither retrieve the schema nor read data when I build manually the schema. I am able to query data with isql, so the datasource should be OK. Is it a bug ?

OS : Debian 5.04 (Linux kernel 2.6-22-2-686)
Java version "1.6.0_12"
TOS 3.2.0 with SDI (Spatial Data Integrator)
