Google Public Data Explorer Component (Dataset Publishing Language)

Hi

Is anybody interested in an output component for Dataset Publishing Language (DSPL) which can be used in the Google Public Data Explorer.

The Google Public Data Explorer is a public beta tool made by Google to visualize data: http://www.google.com/publicdata/home

The idea is to bundle a xml describing the metadata with a csv containing the data values. So I guess the component would need to write a csv file (standard talend functionallity), write the meta data as DSPL XML: http://code.google.com/intl/de-DE/apis/publicdata/docs/tutorial.html (new part) and then put it in a zip file (should be possible with existing components also).

For the beginning I would imagine a file only containing 1 XML and 1 CSV without any links. But as I understand it would later be possible as well to include several csv files and to describe the relational connetions between them (see the tutorial above). Maybe even easier would be for the beginning to write only the xml file. The other tasks can be done with already existing components.

Cheers
Petr
