Dynamic Schema usage with Joblet Input

Does any one know if it is possible to pass a Dynamic Schema input into a joblet?

It seems as though the reusable aspect of joblets would lend it self nicely to this use case.

However when I try to define an INPUT component in the joblet with a Schema that has 1 "Dynamic" column. I get the error: "This component doesn't support Dynamic Type". When I run the job I get the error: "inputrow cannot be resolved to a variable".

However if I ignore these errors and click "Continue" the job runs fine. Any ideas why this is generating warning messages?

Yes, Talend has an internal list of components which supports Dynamic Schemas. It is probably a bug.

Re: Dynamic Schema usage with Joblet Input

Hi mattirvin,

What's the talend enterprise subscription build version are you using? What's the component are you using?
You can find the dynamic schema supported components in this file: <Talend Studio install dir>/plugins/org.talend.core.tis_x.x.x.rxxxxx.jar.
unzip this jar to a directory, and you will see a file call supportDynamic.txt under resources folder, the file lists all the components support the dynamic schema in the current version.

Re: Dynamic Schema usage with Joblet Input

Does anyone know if this has been resolved in more recent versions? I'm on TEDI Cluster edition 5.1.2 and still seeing Dynamic Type not supported by Joblet input and output.

Re: Dynamic Schema usage with Joblet Input

Hi mattirvin,
It should be fixed in the recent versions.
What's the component you are using in joblet? Have you tried the latest build version 6.1?
You can download a free trial of Talend Data Integration freely from website:https://info.talend.com/prodevaltedi.html
