Date Format 'ddMMYY' from CSV to Oracle

HI,
i try to get some data from an CSV export into my oracle Database.
Most of the data is no problem but i have an issue with data in date format.
The Format in the source is "dd.MM.YY" like "12.09.85".
In the file dilimeted Metadata i changed the data-type to dat and set the date format to "ddMMYY".
As i run the jop i get alway the error: "unparseable date".
I am using "Talend Open Studio for Data Integration" Version: 5.5.1
What am i doing wrong?

Hi btiegel,
Read your date field as string in source and use the below expression in tmap.
TalendDate.parseDate("ddMMyyyy", row2.date.replace(".","-"))

Thanks,

First of all thanks for your help.
How i can i use a expression like that in tmap?
Is there a mistake in the expression because my source data is in the format ddMMYY?

Re: Date Format 'ddMMYY' from CSV to Oracle

So what actually is the format? In the first post you say it is "dd.MM.YY" and in the second that "ddMMYY"... these are different and if you get "12.09.85" date in the source and trying to parse with "ddMMYY" format obviously it won't work. Your expression should be: TalendDate.parseDate("dd.MM.yy", row1.date) or TalendDate.parseDate("ddMMyy", row1.date) depending on the source date format.
