[Beginner] Sending data to tMsgBox

Hello,
I've just discover this great ETL, but have some difficulties to understand how data are communicated fram a component to another.
I tried to read an Excel file (a column) and want to display the cells content in a MsgBox but it doesn't work.
I used a tFileInputExcel, set an iterate link to a tMsgBox but i don't know what content to put in message to display the cell value.
My tries was unsuccessful.
Thank you for your help.

Re: [Beginner] Sending data to tMsgBox

I tried these two jobs.

With the tForEach : values defined in the tForEach are well sended the the MsgBox (but i don't know how to get the cells content in the tForEach component)
Without the tForEach : the only thing i've found is getting the Error Message or Line Number from my excel file, but nothing to get the cell content from my file
Thanks ;-)

Re: [Beginner] Sending data to tMsgBox

ok,
in your schema, what is the name of the cells that you want to put in you messagebox? What do you want to obtain, one MessageBox for each cells or one MessageBow with all the information?

Re: [Beginner] Sending data to tMsgBox

My tFileInputExcel's built-in schema type contains the field valeur1 (String).
I want to obtain one messageBox for each cells.

Re: [Beginner] Sending data to tMsgBox

And how do you do that in perl project ?
I've tried
$row1

but not have any return

The right expression was:
$tMsgBox_1->

It's not very "user friendly" I admit. You'll have a cleaner way to do this in TOS 2.4.0 with the tFlowToIterate component that will create a global variable $_globals{fieldname} but it could be improved once more with what you suggest $row (and not $row1). We have to think about this for the next big release (after 2.4 which near the freeze).
I've just created 3725 so that you can monitor it and give your feeback.

Re: [Beginner] Sending data to tMsgBox

Now that 3725 is fixed (available in future 3.0.0), you will be able to simply write:
$row

(with auto-completion from CTRL+Space) Much more user friendly, isn't it?
