External module - Linux environment (Ubuntu distribution)

Hi,

My Talend environment runs over Ubuntu (16.04).
I've installed the following:

  • Talend-administrator
  • Talend studio

The issue that when trying to run jobs, from my source control, using job conductor in TAC, it keeps alerting for missing jars files

I've read here that I can use Talend's CLI functionality for basic function as same as in Talend studio application &  here that I can copy jars from the instance CLI into Talned's CLI jars. The thing is that it's tedious & inapplicable

So, my questions are as follows:

  • Is this approach even possible over the Linux environment? If not, then what do?
  • Is it possible to collect all relevant jars in a simple way with a single script/ command in Talend studio CLI without any GUI?

AFAIK - all jars placed under /configuration/.m2/repository/

Please advice

Re: External module - Linux environment (Ubuntu distribution)

Hello,

If we understand your requirement very well, is your idea loading the external modules via sonatype nexus and distribute them to the various installations  and you want to use it as your common repository(ex: local repository)?

Best regards

Sabrina

Hi @xdshi
Tnx for the input.
Actually, This is not what I meant

I just need a way, from the CLI without any UI, to import all relevant jars

Re: External module - Linux environment (Ubuntu distribution)

Hello,

So far, we need to install external modules with GUI.

For more information, please have a look at this online documentation:https://help.talend.com/reader/TE5n15~xt69w66DJpqAvMQ/Q4D_RJq~T6Txp1jDYhIe8g
